The ranch in Jupiter, Florida
once belonging to actor Burt Reynolds has recently been placed on the market. The owner of the 153-acre property is the Palm Beach County School District, which had originally planned to build a school on the property. No price tag has been set yet, though a recent appraisal gave the property a value of just over $4 million. Facing a nearly $50 million deficit this school year, the district hopes to close the gap with the funds. The property was purchased in 1999 for $3.85 million.
Meanwhile, Burt may soon be facing foreclosure on the home in Hobe Sound, Florida
that he can't seem to sell, unless he can come up with the $1 million needed to avoid the process. With three price reductions in the last few years, the 12,500-square-foot home is currently listed for $4.99 million. The original listing was just under $15 million.
